Saint Katharine Drexel Food Pantry is an outreach ministry located at the Catholic Social Services building in Chester, PA. Our address is 130 East 7th Street. The pantry is a resource of hope and comfort for local residents and families in need.
Our ministry is rooted in the Gospel mandate of Love for one another. We proudly serve the local community with compassion, love, joy and hope. "If we wish to serve God and love our neighbor well, we must manifest our joy in the service we render to Him and them. Let us open wide our hearts. It is joy which invites us. Press forward and fear nothing." ~Katharine Drexel
The "Friends of St. Katharine Drexel" is our designation for those individuals who serve outside our parish community and who graciously support us through monthly recurring donations. Kindly consider joining our mission of growing St. Katharine Drexel Food Pantry into a national leader among Urban parishes serving economically depressed areas with multi-ethnic parishioners.
Our pantry entrance is located to the left of the Catholic Social Services entrance. The food pantry is open: Monday from 9:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. for donations. Calling ahead is required and prepares us for your arrival. We open our doors for food distribution on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 A.M. to 12:45 P.M. (excluding all major holidays).
God's Providence is very visible through the goodness and generosity of Parishes, Groups, Schools, Businesses, and Individuals like you. We, the staff and volunteers, are committed to collect and distribute food to those in need.
